Moving days

In Finland the moving day was organized on the 14th February where experts were asked to deliver a full day of exercising and raising the awareness of active lifestyle. The description of the day has been added here.

Guest speakers at moving weeks

In Estonia the moving weeks were organized in schools during which the guests speakers were invited. The students had a chance to participate in different lessons which main topic was health, active lifestyle: 
  • joga
  • shindo
  • Kendo
  • zumba
  • meeting with the Olympic winner who talked about why moving is necessary
  • teeth hygiene
  • lecture about sleeping
  • lesson given by a football coach
  • basketball lessons with sportsmen
  • sitting and its impact on our health
  • healthy food

Whole school moving day

The whole school moving day was organized in Estonia. 
​
1st- 3rd grade started the day with zumba which was delivered by one of the parent and then had the 9 stations in the Laidoneri park. In the stations they had to build the food pyramid, learnt first aid, made long jump, ran, played, tied their shoe laces and measured the pulse. The parents were involved in 2 stations. 

4th-6th grade started in school main hall with the moving clip "Liikumisminut". Then they moved around the peninsula according to the map and had 4 stations on their way: 1) football where they practiced dribble with the ball 2) healthy food station 3) moving on the bicycle 4) running in the beach 5) in Rannarahva museum they had the game "Crossing the sea". The day finished with the quiz. 

7- 12th grade had 10 km walk with checkpoints where they had to answer the questions related to health.
